Consulting Experience. Since our founding in 2007, Vittori Consulting's mission has been to help smaller organizations realize their full potential by making the best strategic and leadership capabilities accessible and affordable. Vittori Consulting works primarily with executive teams and boards of directors of startups and smaller organizations in the for-profit, not-for-profit and government arenas, in the U.S. and Mexico.
Business Experience. Prior to founding Vittori Consulting, I had over 30 years of senior general management and functional experience, leading startups to $500M+ technology businesses. I have specialized in strategic turnarounds. Before starting Vittori Consulting, I was corporate vice president and group general manager of Motorola's Embedded Communications Computing business. At the Intel Corporation for thirteen years, I was division general manager responsible for creating Intel's Storage business, building it to over $100M in three years, and led the strategy formation for Intel's entry into the Server business. I have also led two startup companies, and earlier in my career held functional leadership positions in R&D, engineering, strategy, marketing and operations.
Academics and Education. I am currently a faculty associate at the Arizona State University Nonprofit Management Institute. Earlier, as an assistant professor at Northeastern University's College of Business I taught undergraduate, graduate and executive education courses in strategic management and entrepreneurship. I was a doctoral candidate in strategic management, entrepreneurship and organization behavior at the Harvard Business School, am a Myers-Briggs certified Master Practitioner, am trained in the Balanced Scorecard and certified in Six Sigma for Management. I earned an MBA with a concentration in marketing at Northeastern University, and an A.B. from Harvard College.
Community Involvement. Appointed by Gov. Janet Napolitano to the Arizona Governor’s Commission on Innovation and Technology, advisor to the Bi-national Regional Economic Development Task Force, and appointed by Gov. Jan Brewer to the Board of Directors of the Arizona-Mexico Commission. Appointed by the Arizona Board of Regents as a Director of the University of Arizona Campus Research Corporation. Co-founded The Arizona-Sonora Manufacturing Initiative in 2007, to focus on improving the competitiveness of manufacturing, product innovation and R&D in the binational Arizona-Sonora region.
Speaking and Publishing. “Predictive Sourcing: the straight path to profitability,” published in Supply Chain Management Review, July/August 2004, co-authored with the economist Frank Bernhard, based on experiences transitioning the manufacturing of embedded computers from China to Sonora, Mexico. Frequent speaker on the topics of strategy, competitiveness and bi-national economic opportunities between the United States and Mexico.
